Community Standards

Violation of Our Community Standards may result in disqualification from being listed on our calendar in the future.

 

General Standards:

 

  • Respect for All: We promote an environment of respect and inclusivity. Displays of hatred or violence will result in being removed from our calendar.

 

  • Family-Friendly Atmosphere: We strive to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere at all events listed on our calendar. Content that is explicit, overly provocative, or inappropriate for all ages will not be included.

 

  • Promotion of Wholesome Content: We value artistic expression and the freedom of speech, but we also prioritize maintaining an environment that aligns with wholesome values and sensibilities. As a Christian organization, we reserve the right to make decisions that reflect our faith. Consequently, events, performances, or promotions that overtly endorse or glorify satanic, occult, evil, or perverse ideologies, or utilize foul language, will not be featured on our calendar. This policy extends to content that expresses sentiments contrary to Christian beliefs. Our aim is to uphold standards that foster a positive atmosphere for all members of our community.

 

  • Supporting Local Talent: We prioritize supporting local artists, musicians, and venues. While national or international acts may be listed as well, our focus remains on promoting the vibrant talent within our community.

 

  • Compliance with Laws and Regulations: All events listed on our calendar must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including those related to permits, licenses, noise ordinances, and public safety.

 

  • Continuous Improvement: We are dedicated to continuously improving our calendar and welcome input from the community. Suggestions for enhancements, additions, or changes are encouraged and will be considered thoughtfully.

 

Standards for Venues:

 

  • Safe and Welcoming Spaces: Venues listed on our calendar are expected to provide safe and welcoming spaces for all attendees. This includes adequate security measures, accessibility accommodations, and adherence to local health and safety guidelines.

 

  • Public Space Requirement: Venues must be designated as public spaces, distinct from private residences where individuals reside. This ensures accessibility and appropriate facilities for hosting live music events.

 

  • Hygiene and Cleanliness: Venues are expected to maintain a standard of cleanliness and hygiene conducive to hosting public events. This includes maintaining clean restrooms, seating areas, and overall premises.

 

  • Maintenance and Working Order: Venues must be in good working order and free from significant disrepair. This includes functioning sound systems, lighting, heating/cooling systems, and any other essential infrastructure necessary for hosting live music performances.

  • Fair Payment Policy: Venues are required to compensate musicians fairly and honor the payment terms agreed-upon before the performance. Any attempt to alter the agreed-upon compensation after the show may result in disqualification from being listed on our calendar in the future. We prioritize fair treatment of musicians and value transparency in financial agreements.

 

Standards for Musicians:

 

  • Venue Property Care: Musicians are expected to show utmost respect for the property of the venues they perform at. This includes taking care to avoid damage to equipment, furniture, and any other venue assets during load-in, setup, and performance.

 

  • Community Respect: Musicians should demonstrate respect for the local community in which they perform. This encompasses being mindful of noise levels, adhering to any venue-specific rules or regulations, and engaging respectfully with venue staff and patrons.

 

  • Professionalism: Musicians are encouraged to uphold professional standards of conduct at all times. This includes arriving punctually for load-in and soundcheck, communicating effectively with venue representatives, and presenting themselves in a manner that reflects positively on both the venue and the broader community.

 

Event Submission Guidelines:

 

Event Submission Deadlines:

  • For weekday shows (Mon-Thu), please submit your event by 12pm the day prior.

  • For weekend shows (Fri-Sun), please submit your event by 12pm on Thursday.

  • *Note: These deadlines may vary during holiday weeks.

 

Area Range Covered:

  • We list events held at public venues within a 30-mile driving radius of Baton Rouge, LA. You can verify the distance by typing "Baton Rouge, LA" into Google Maps as the starting point.

Event Types Not Included:

  • We do not list DJ sets, Karaoke, Musical Theatre, or Home Concerts.

  • There may be other types of events that we may decline to list.

 

All Events Are Subject to Verification. We reserve the right to decline listing any event at any time and for any reason.
